I have experienced divorce, relationships with both genders, mom to 2 amazing young adults and continue to explore all aspects of the human experience.

I used to be a backcountry guide. I've completed 4 Ironman events, enjoying my very first in Canada.

I've experienced dark hard moments, sometimes down on my knees pain bringing me face to face with questioning what life is for. Everything I ask my clients to do, I have done and continue to do myself.

I use my life as an experiment to help me deeply understand the human experience and intimately understand trauma theory playing out.
Taunya Hudson has been in clinical practice since 2013, with a focus on trauma-informed, relational, and depth-oriented therapeutic work. Over the years, her clinical approach has been shaped by extensive advanced training, thousands of client hours, and an ongoing commitment to her own experiential and therapeutic work - recognizing that ethical, effective practice requires continual self-reflection and embodiment.

Taunya brings over 450 hours of specialized training in psychedelic-assisted and integration-focused therapy, including significant experiential components. This training, combined with her personal and clinical experience, informs how she understands nervous-system regulation, attachment dynamics, parts work, and transformational change - offering clinicians a grounded, nuanced lens that extends well beyond theory alone.

In addition to her private practice, Taunya spent several years developing and leading Bloom Psychedelic Therapy & Research Institute, where she built and supervised a multidisciplinary clinical team of more than twenty practitioners. This role deepened her expertise in clinical leadership, ethical program development, mentorship, and the integration of emerging therapeutic modalities within real-world clinical settings.

As an educator and consultant, Taunya is known for bridging theory with lived clinical reality. Her work with clinicians emphasizes relational presence, ethical complexity, case conceptualization, and the therapist's own nervous system as a central tool in the work. She offers training, consultation, and mentorship to clinicians seeking to deepen their practice, refine their clinical intuition, and work with greater confidence, integrity, and depth.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (Master Practitioner), Internal Family Systems (IFS-informed), Hakomi, attachment-focused and somatic approaches, Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 2), and extensive training in psychedelic-assisted and integration-oriented psychotherapy.
Credentials / Training
Psychology
I hold a 3 year diploma in Transpersonal Counselling Psychology. I've proven my competency for a "Master's Equivalence" (Master Practicing Clinical Counselling), and am a Registered Professional Counsellor and Counselling Therapist.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy
I have basic, enhanced and advanced, affording me the "Master's Level" designation.
Internal Family Systems
I have completed the IFS Institute "Circle" training affording me "IFS Informed Therapist" designation. I've completed over 75 hours of different stand alone IFS trainings with at least a majority of the training by Dr. Dick Schwartz himself.
Polyvagal Trauma Therapy
I have completed over 50 hours of polyvagal trauma training affording me "Polyvagal Informed Treatment Therapist". Majority of the training by Deb Dana.
Gottman Couples Therapy
I have completed Gottman Levels I & II, utilizing these interventions and theory since 2015.
Emotionally Focused Therapy both Couples and Individual
Completed EFT for Couples Externship and EFT for Individuals training.
Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Trainings
Various training modalities: ATMA- PAP, Psychedelic Support- KAT psychopharmacology, Psychedelics, somatic and Trauma informed lens, Phoenix Academy's experiential training, Psychedelic Somatic Facilitator Training Certificate, etc.
