Dr. Keith Courtney, DO, is a board-certified psychiatrist, educator, and clinician based in Calgary, Alberta, whose work integrates psychotherapy, contemplative practice, and emerging approaches to mental health care. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and holds certifications in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Integrative Psychiatry through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute.
He received his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his residency in General Psychiatry at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, and pursued fellowship training in Cross-Cultural Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota. Today he serves as Medical Director of the Bloom Institute of Mental Health and Wellness in Calgary and as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Calgary. He has previously served as Medical Director of three clinics specializing in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and maintains a private practice focused on men's mental health.
